I thank GOD for the opportunity to participate in this sport with my children and hope this will continue for many years to come.

Located in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago-land we decided that raising and racing our birds would be a fulfilling way of building our family relationships.

My son Dylan (age 9) and Daughter Jenna (age 5) have joined me in my love of these incredible birds and are now Junior members in the AU. We fly out of the Lake County Club and Fox Valley Combine here in Illinois and have had some very good assistance from our mentor, Warren Smith from Smith Family Loft in York Pa. He was gracious enough to help us acquire some quality birds and has been instrumental in the successes we have experienced.

We have acquired some top quality birds from some of the best breeders in the country such as Ludo's from Warren Smith @SFLUSA, Houbens bred by Steve Mistler in N.Y., Meuleman's down from Karel Meuleman and Horst Hackemer from RPUSA, Golden Matten's G-Children and "President/969" line G-Children from Ganus Family Loft. These birds have been tightly line bred and were aquired to outcross to produce the best possible racers. Our birds excel at the 100-400 mile stations & have produced multiple diploma winners at club and combine level. Only the best will be kept for racing and breeding at K & D Lofts.

Pigeon racing is a way of building relationships with your children that is second to none. Jenna and Dylan participate in the rearing, daily chores, training and all the ups and downs of winning and losing in this unique sport. It has taught them responsibility and a respect for life. I strongly challenge any parents out there to spend time with your children in this or any other type of sport and you will see the difference in their life as you take the time for THEM.
